Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

I tried to get my sister a gift certificate for the Hotel and Spa. Management responded promptly and told me that I needed separate certificates for each entity. No problem, I asked for a $300 gift certificate for the hotel and a $200 gift certificate for the spa. Then it got interesting. They will not sell me the gift certificates unless I go in person to the hotel and spa and purchase there. NO EXCEPTIONS! SMH I own a small business and just can't wrap my head around this person saying thank you but we don't want you to give us $500 for two pieces of paper that may never even be redeemed? Who owns this place and do they know that their management enforces these "stone-age" policies? Place sure looks fancy on the website, but I am starting to wonder if this is just a fancy midwest version of one of those sus cash only massage parlors? Common sense be damned at the Detroit Club.

We had a fantastic experience at the Detroit Club! The atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was outstanding. A special shout-out to Michael, our bartenderβ€”he was incredible. He made every drink perfectly, offered great recommendations, and provided friendly, attentive service throughout our visit. He truly made the experience memorable. We can’t wait to come back! (Especially for the key lime martini!!)

Soak is nice spa to visit. Make it what you need. Really enjoyed my service in The Library. I had the smash burgers with these amazing baked fried French fries. The building was built in 1832. Its the oldest gentlemens club in Detroir. Learned a lot. I will go back.
